Aside from Apple and their mobile Mac OS X platform, the Android OS might be in for some more competition as the Symbian Foundation has already laid our their timetable for the public to see, and 2009 is indeed the year when they’ll debut it with the Sony Ericsson Idou possibly the first device to feature it. Granted that we still haven’t got the slightest clue what’s new in their OS, we at least know that based on the available info that version 2 is the one scheduled to roll out this year with versions 3 and 4 expected to be released next year. This is something we’ll definitely keep an eye on, and hopefully, whatever Nokia and their Symbian Foundation has secretly cooking on their side of the fence will be a worthy adversary to Google’s Adroid and Apple’s mobile Mac OS X.
