iPhone 3.0 firmware confirmed (sort of) with Cut/Paste feature

Apple iPhone, Rumors, Software

Everyone, especially members of the iPhone Dev Team, is probably looking forward to March 17 when Apple will give us a preview of iPhone 3.0 firmware, and according to Digg’s Kevin Rose, there is a reason to get excited about it, but background app support won’t be one of them. Cut/paste will finally be available on the iPhone though no mention was made regarding MMS and Push notifications. Of course, this is just Rose’s prediction and isn’t official by any stretch of the imagination. Nonetheless, hearing the announcement that cut/paste will be hitting the iPhone soon from a somewhat knowledgeable person on the matter does give us a more optimistic disposition on the whole iPhone 3.0 firmware issue.
