The hardware is eerily almost an exact copy of the iPhone hardware. If the HiPhone and the SciPhone, the other popular iPhone clone, is iPhone clone 1.0, the TiPhone is iPhone clone 2.0.
We have no idea what OS they are using, and Engadget China only has the unboxing so far. It’s probably a rehash of the OS used by the HiPhone and Sciphone and other touchscreen phones of the genre. What’s different is the TV tuner that the user can pull out from the top. Side-by-side comparison with the real iPhone after the break.

Guess which one is the iPhone.

All the iphone clones are VERY limited and only some can install Java Jar applications.
iPhone applications can NOT be installed.
There is little to No support and application pages in ads are for chinese only! The English, Spanish, ect… languages have much LESS embedded application.
You will be stuck, and even though the hardware on some 3.5″ displays can be capacitance, You will be very frustrated by lack on software and misc. BUGs (biggest is Data plan requirement and WLAN stuck, no dial).
The OS and applications are embedded in the firmware and can NOT be modified.
If you want a dumb pretty phone knock your self out.
Regretful owner of 3.5″ Dumb Hiphone phone. Tiphone, Hiphone, piphone,*iphone
Windows Mobile versions of these phones are better.
