When Yinlips announced the YDB G70 last year, I was mildly impressed. The hardware hardly changed since we saw the G68, but there is slightly more to the clamshell PMP than just playing music, videos and games support. That’s the G70. With the G80, Yinlips has thrown in its own version of the ultraportable laptop into the overcrowded netbook fray and it’s so mighty small it may just squeeze in. Ok, maybe that is a stretch what with the lack of a keyboard, but take note of these specs:
- 4.3-inch 480 X 272 touchscreen
- 533MHz processing power from Samsung
- WiFi and possible GPS
- PDF support
- MS Office support
- all popular music, video (24 fps) and photo file formats
Nothing’s final yet, of course. YINLIPS is just trying to whet our appetite using an old hardware, though they do mention an external keyboard and two cameras built-in, which is unfortunate. YINLIPS should maybe think this over and most definitely add/cram a built-in keyboard, or maybe find a way to slide it in that fat body.
Update: found more specs, after the break.
