Apple has been caught ordering 3.2 MP cameras allegedly for the new iPhones. This is news indeed though news that only makes perfect sense. The more interesting new finding is another batch of order from Apple, this time for 5 megapixel sensors. The alleged supplier is OmniVision, a well-known supplier of CMOS sensors.

OmniVision is listed with NASDAQ. It’s doing well right now and should experience a sharp spike in its stock price once Apple confirms the rumor.

In fact, if you are a believer of the Asian publication Digitimes, it’s pretty much confirmed.
