iPhone rumors nowadays are a dime a dozen, but this particular one seems to be leaning more on fact than fiction. Based on a leaked document, the new iPhone will sport WiFi 802.11n connectivity thanks to a new Broadcom BCM4329 chip which will be used in the 3G iPod Touch, and likewise, the new version of the iPhone as well. Actually, this is somewhat expected already since Apple is currently streamlining all of their products to become more coherent with one another both in terms of design and functionality. Considering that almost all of their current products already come with WiFi 802.11n support, the iPhone and iPod Touch are the last pair Apple devices to become compatible with the latest wireless connectivity standard. Of course, this isn’t official yet, but thankfully, we won’t have to wait for another year to find out whether this is true or not as June is the month when the new iPhone is expected to be unveiled.
