It was in mid last year when the App Store first debuted, and it hasn’t even been a year since its existence that Apple is now counting the app downloads before they finally hit the 2 million mark. That, in itself, is already remarkable, but considering that it was only in January of this year when they were able pass the 500 million mark, that’s even more impressive. Now, if you add the recently announced iPhone OS 3.0 into the mix, we’re pretty certain that when firmware 3.0 finally goes live Apple will easily breeze through the 1 trillion mark. No wonder Rim has come out with the BlackBerry App World with others such as Acer contemplating on the idea as well.
