Granted that there’s already an Android netbook in the works, I’d say it’s about time Samsung comes out with their very own Android phone offering. They’ve already confirmed in the past of their intent to release a Samsung Android phone this year, and now, thankfully, we’ve got some added info regarding this soon-to-be-released mobile phone. Dubbed as the i7500, this new mobile phone comes with a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive OLED touchscreen display, 5-megapixel camera with flash, WiFi, Bluetooth, HSDPA connectivity, 8GB internal memory, 3.5mm headphone jack, and runs on a Qualcomm 528MHz processor. It is expected to be released in June with the new Android 1.5 OS installed for roughly €300 or $397 USD. Coincidentally (or not), June is also the month when the new iPhone will be announced. We’re still not sure if it’ll debut in the US in June as well, but if so, this will truly make for a fine face-off between the new iPhone and the Samsung i7500 Android phone.
