Just as expected, Amazon has announced a “plus sized” Kindle dubbed as the Kindle DX. Here’s a pair of hands-on videos showcasing this new Kindle e-book reader from Amazon. Based on the first impressions, aside from the larger size and a slightly better performing keyboard, this new Kindle DX isn’t really that different from the Kindle 2. As such is the case, its steep $489 price might turn-off a lot of users since its got nothing really exceptional and new to offer that merits spending more than a $100 as opposed to simply getting the Kindle 2. Sure, it comes with a bigger display, native PDF reader, auto-screen rotation, and more storage, but is all of that worth $130 in additional cost? Personally, I’m looking for more enhancements for that amount, but that’s just my opinion. How about you guys?
