So the leaked photo was genuine. The iRiver B30 has now officially surfaced. The B30 succeeds the B20, a PMP with mobile TV so expect that the antenna on this one is a permanent fixture. It looks like a sleek device but one would expect a bigger screen for a mobile TV. Instead, we only get 2.8 inches and only a QVGA LCD.

Specs of the iRiver B20
- 2.8-inch QVGA screen
- MP4, AVI, WMV video support
- MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF, FLAC, APE
- DMB TV
- 5.5 hours on DMB TV, 6 hours on video and 40 hours on music
- $155 for 4GB, $183 for 8GB with 16GB to be announced

One word, Flac. This is the best feature this device carries, is FLAC support. Now only if it allowed SDHC or SDXC cards, Flac files are larger then Lossy formats and 4 gigs and 8 gigs is not much space at all but a SDHC slot would give the user up to 32 Gigs in potential and SDXC would go light years beyond, in fact you include a SD card and you wouldn’t need as much internal ram, just enough for the Software.

[...] Check it, North Americans — yet another PMP that’ll never arrive here in this form. The T-DMB-equipped B30 just popped up over on iriver’s Korean website, complete with an FM tuner, 2.8-inch QVGA display, a microSD expansion slot, 4/8/16GB of inbuilt memory, white / black / silver color options, USB 2.0 connectivity, a user-selectable equalizer and a list of supported file formats too lengthy to cover in this space. Furthermore, we’re told that the battery is good for 40 hours on audio and 5.5 hours with video, and while a ship date has yet to be revealed, we’re expecting ‘em to go for around $155, $183 and TBD from least capacious to most. I know this is rather old stuff but I’m curious what are the experiences of folks with it, has anyone bought it? Are they happy with it?
