There’s nothing surprising about Best Buy offering up the Palm Pre for $199.99 on a 2-yr contract with Sprint, but what caught us a little bit off-guard is the fact that their selling the contract-free Palm Pre for a staggering $849.99. Granted that contract-free prices are expected to be more expensive, this one by Best Buy is just too much for us to accept especially since Sprint has theirs rumored to be just only $550. One of the two has to be false, and with Sprint not yet officially unveiling their complete pricing for the Palm Pre, we’re a little saddened to admit that Best Buy’s price might be legit. Anyway, we’re still praying for the contrary to happen, and with just two weeks left before the Palm Pre officially hits the market, we’ll know soon enough if our prayers will be answered or not.
