The Sony PSP Go is for real and it’s finally here. Well, that’s as far as official pics, specs and videos are concerned. The company will still officially announce it in a little while, and we’re certainly be looking forward to getting more info on its price and availability.

Apart from the scrapping of the UMD and the obvious sliding mechanism, we also now know that the PSP Go comes with a 3.8-inch display, Bluetooth that supports tethering and headsets, full PlayStation Network support, PS3 integration, 16GB of internal memory with Memory Stick Micro slot for additional storage, and weighs 43% lighter than the PSP-3000. Now this is what I call an upgraded PSP. As for the games, Little Big Planet, and a new Gran Turismo and Metal Gear Solid are confirmed to be headed to this new portable gaming console with more games to follow from other developers as well. We’ve more or less got the gist of the what the PSP Go has to offer, but check back soon as we’re expecting a few more surprises when Sony official launches the PSP Go.
