While the iPhone 3G S maybe the stuffing up headlines today, we can’t forget that the Palm Pre is also now available. In particular, it is now available nationwide across the US.

So, if you’ve been on the edge of your seats for the past couple of months waiting for Palm’s latest smartphone to become available, now’s the time to head out to your local Sprint and Best Buy stores to get yourself one. Based on the initial reports, there have been some lines observed outside some stores, but nothing too major. It was also reported that some stores only had very, very limited Palm Pre stock available (9 being the fewest). Those select few who braved camping out early stand a chance of walking out with a new Palm Pre while the rest will land themselves a spot on the waiting list. Safe to say, there’s a lot of truth in those Palm Pre shortage rumors we’ve been hearing.

So, if you’re reading this post and don’t already own a Palm Pre and still planning to buy one, chances are you’ll probably belong to those batch of individuals who will have to wait a couple more weeks (or months) before you can get your very own Palm Pre.
