Apple, Apple iPhone

WWDC has finally kicked off and while Apple did unveil a bunch of goodies for their loyal followers, as far as the iPhone new goes, I felt a little bit disappointed. While the new iPhone 3G S does come with a lot of new features (nothing new we didn’t already know by now), Apple’s choice to retain the design of the iPhone 3G had us wanting something more. Nonetheless, if you’ve been keeping track of Apple through the years, this latest move shouldn’t be surprising anymore. Apple loves to streamline their products both in terms of design and functionality, and they hardly (close to never) come out with a new design for a particular product every year. So, it’s actually not out of character for Apple to retain the old design considering that this was introduced just a year ago. This leads us to believe that the current look for the iPhone will probably be here for quite a while.

With that being said, I do, however, love the new choices in storage capacity and everything else they’ve done with it especially the 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity and tethering support in iPhone OS 3.0. True, it could use a new look, but why fix something that ain’t broken, right? How about you guys? How’d you find Apple’s iPhone announcements this year?
