iPhone jailbreakers out there are probably wondering whether an iPhone OS 3.0 jailbreak will be released or not. While we don’t exactly know its progress, the iPhone Dev Team reassures us that they are working on it. As far as unlocks are concerned, that’s on the way too, but they do, however, warn users about fake yellowsnow unlock apps floating around the net. A concrete example they give is the yellowsnow221 page available on wordpress. It’s actually a virus so don’t download it. The real deal can still be found at yellowsnow.com. So don’t get trigger-happy and just download any iPhone jailbreak or unlock especially if it pertains to the new iPhone OS 3.0, iPhone 3GS, and no mention of it was made at the iPhone Dev Team’s blog. If it’s too good to be true, it probably is. Rest assured, an iPhone OS 3.0 jailbreak and unlock is certainly on the way, but it’s just not here yet.

I can’t wait for some copy and pasting… must hold back, must hold back from downloading something before it is ready.
