Proving that the iPhone hasn’t lost any of its magic, the iPhone 3G S has apparently sold out even before it becomes officially available in stores. AT&T has closed their doors for pre-orders for the first batch of iPhone 3G S units. The lucky buyers who managed to pre-order themselves one will just have to queue up at 7:00 am on June 19th to pick up their phone. Not to worry, though. Those not fortunate enough to get on the list still has a chance to land an iPhone 3G S on the first day since they can fight over the remaining inventory when AT&T and Apple stores open their doors at 8am. As far as the Palm Pre and iPhone 3G S face-off is concerned, we’re giving this win to the iPhone. Sure, the Palm Pre had an impressive release day sales, but the iPhone 3G S accomplished what used to be seemingly impossible, getting sold out even before its released.
