If a productive iPhone app is more your cup of tea rather than a handful of games, then the newly released Docs 2 Go iPhone app maybe just what you’re looking for. Released by Dataviz, this productivity app provides you with the ability not only to view various document file types such as Excel, PP, PDF, iWork, etc on the fly, but more importantly, also allows you to create and edit Word documents as well. As such is the case, it also provides cut/copy/paste as well as undo/redo and landscape mode functionality. There’s also a desktop client which provides 2-way file syncing available for both Windows and Mac systems. There are 2 versions of Docs 2 Go available - with Exchange support ($9.99), and without ($4.99). The obvious downside to Docs 2 Go is that you can only create and edit Word files. However, Data Viz assures that Excel editing support will be available soon via a free update.
Admittedly, Docs 2 Go may seem somewhat crippled at the moment, but nonetheless, it’s still worth giving a go especially if you’re looking for an affordable productivity suite for the iPhone.
