We’ve been wondering when Huawei will bust out their Android phone, and it looks like the wait is finally over. They’ve just unveiled the U8230. It features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, 3.2-megapixel camera, 1500 mAh battery, trackball, and probably runs on Android 1.5 Cupcake as it has an onscreen keyboard as well. It’s not quite the same as the one we saw earlier at MWC, but we applaud them for they’re decision to come out with a more original design. No word on its pricing yet, but it will indeed be available from T-Mobile in the second half of this year. Meanwhile, the C8000 is their Windows Mobile offering. It packs a 2.8-inch touchscreen, 3D UI, and an independent display adapter that provides a smooth playback of videos and DVD-quality pictures. This one, unfortunately, obviously fails in terms of design originality as it’s almost a splitting image of the HTC Touch. Likewise, pricing for the C8000 is still yet to be known.
