Just how fast is the iPhone 3G S? Accordng to Anandtech, it’s 54% faster than the iPhone 3G and 11% 21% faster than Palm Pre. Even better, in application launch, it makes Palm Pre eat dust especially on web browser launch and Google Maps. Now, what I’m really interested in is battery life comparisons.

This is exactly what the ZoDDt team did and the results are quite promising. While the iPhone 3G already maxed out at 60fps, the new iPhone 3G S was able to churn out an impressive 150fps video playback even going as high as 225fps. Safe to say, the iPhone 3G S definitely has the makings of a very capable gaming device. Unfortunately, this isn’t publicly available yet since the current iPhone 3.0 jailbreak (redsnow included) still doesn’t work with the iPhone 3G S. This does, however, give something very exciting to look forward to.
