Purplera1n is progressing quite remarkably as they’ve just released the latest version of this famed iPhone 3G S jailbreak. What’s new in this latest release? Well, Mac users can now also enjoy the benefits of purplera1n, and what’s even more exciting than that is it also now enables you to run Backgrounder on your speedy new iPhone 3G S. Officially, the Windows version now stands at RC2a, but Geohot notes that if you’re already running RC2 installed already, there’s no need to update to RC2a. As usual, proceed with caution if you dare try this out, but based on the initial comments and feedback, it looks to be doing very well so far. Likewise, do hit us up in the comments section below and tell us how it works out for you.

After installing Voipover3G, Skype and tha App store keep crashing.
Tried reinstalling a few times and Skype crashes with Voipover3G installed.
Also couldn’t remove Freeze after installing Cydelete. Get the message that since Cydelete
was not installed by Cydia, it cannot be removed.

My skype is also crashing after installing VOIPover3G.
It forgot my login info. When I type it in, and click on “login” it crashes.
When I tap on “new account” it crashes too.
