• when some one calls me i can hear them but they can’t hear me!

got a sci phone and its not responding to my selections if any one can help also behind my battery says its an i9++ but the way the apps are colored and located it looks more the the i68 plz help thanks

Everytime i call some one my phone will say no connection and hang up? and if it gets to the point where i can call and talk to the person the phone will go blank and hang up??

In relation to the no phone connection, I experienced the same problem, although I simply changed Sim slots and all seems to be working fine now.
I just cannot set up my MMS and GPRS connection??? Can anyone help?

I ahve the australian phone settings for mms and internet..they work only problem now my internet is all in chineese.

No problems with this phone I got for Xmas, works ok, dual sims installed, replaced 2GB micro SD with larger 4GB. Managed to get WAP and MMS settings (O2 UK) from the net. Great phone. Did have a problem with internet defaulting to Chinese language but set google.co.uk as homepage and seems to be ok now.

i have just brought a sciphone i68 from china, i am on 3 mobile network and the phone will not pick up my sim in either sim port, i have tried it on dual sim and i have tried it on sim 1 (locking sim 2) and tried it on sim 2 (locking sim1) everyone i know has tried to get it working and we have had no luck! very frustrating. has anyone had the same problem? any ideas? much appreciated.

You can’t use Sciphone with 3Mobile but works with other networks. It will not work on 3. You should check this before purchasing this phone. If you are in doubt, can try with other network SIM (O2, orange, vodafone). I just bought one today, it works with vodafone.

Genuine sciphones say sciphone on the screen during start up and run very smoothly!

i just recently bought a sciphone and it is a p.o.s i can’t get the thing to work with anything i want it to do. when i make a call it HUMS really bad, the other person always tells me they can’t hear me when it is humming that bad and i can’t hear them. can some one please help i am about to smash it and break it. till i get it up and running i would say it is by far the WORST phone i have ever bought!! someone please help me!!

I just received a 323 Sciphone, and I want to warn everyone, make sure your antivirus software is up to date when you connect it to your computer. My computer immediately detected two trojans when it was connected to the phone. AVG handled them just fine, but beware!
I’ll post more later after I’ve used the phone a while.

An update on the 323 model of the Sciphone. (See my earlier post regarding virus warnings!)
I initially had some problems with the SIM card connecting properly. I put the card into the second slot first and it didn’t connect well. The phone worked with only the #2 slot in use, but shut itself off without warning several times, and occasionally would refuse to engage any of the functions after flashing an “Insert SIM card” warning. I swapped the card to the #1 slot, and the problems vanished.
I’ve just finished giving it my version of a battery test by setting it to play mp3 files all night at a very low volume, about a 2 on a 10-scale. The unit played for just over 7 hours with a full battery start, and gave about 15 minutes warning before it shutdown, a reasonable performance for a phone. The battery indicator OTOH, is nearly worthless. It indicated a 3/4 full battery only 30 minutes prior to shutdown so it will be important to keep the phone charged.
Phone calls went without problems, both in and out using the included headset.
The shake function doesn’t appear to work with the music player; at least, I haven’t gotten it to work yet.
I’ve finally found a way to get the unit to play videos though. I took several MP4 files that had been converted down to work on mobile devices (they work great on my Sony NWZ-S545 player) and reconverted them futher until they played on the phone. It took downsizing to 176 x 144 pixels and 8 fps, but they will play now, for what that’s worth. That resolution is pretty poor. The tilt sensor does keep the videos upright when rotating the phone.

Have just purchased i68+ sciphone, working well however icons have become scrambled.. Step by step how do I restore it to factory settings or move icons to desired location - have user manual downloaded from I/Net ITEM 15 Settings - do not seem to have “restore to to factory settings” included on my phone - can someone please help??

This phone is just rubbish.It is dangerous. Charger connection are very poorly made and expose some parts of the main connector. Battery connetions also poor metal and keep bending out of shape so that connections are not stable and at times very difficult to achieve. Back plate falls of with little pressure. STAY AWAY DONT BUY.
