Toshiba’s Snapdragon-powered TG01 touchscreen phone has finally been launched in the UK just as expected, but contrary to prior reports, it’s not O2 who will be selling it in the region. Orange UK is actually the one who got to nab the exclusive rights to the Toshiba TG01, and their bundling it free on select plans. To make the Orange Toshiba TG01 a little extra special, they’ve preloaded the G.I. Joe trailer on it which you can enjoy viewing on its generously-sized 4.1-inch touchscreen display. With O2 getting the rights for both the iPhone 3G S and the Palm Pre, it’s nice to see a rival network landing a decent alternative to offer consumers. The question now is; which phone will rule the UK market – the iPhone 3G S, Palm Pre or upstart Toshiba with their TG01 Snapdragon phone? What do you guys think?
