It seems that there’s just no stopping the Apple netbook rumor. After several months not hearing much about it, it’s back once again, this time around, courtesy of China Times.

In line with prior reports, Wintek will be the supplier of the touchscreen displays, and Apple has apparently directly ordered from them already as well as from Dynapack. Foxconn, as opposed to Quanta, is purportedly the one manufacturing this Apple branded 9.7-inch touchscreen-equipped netbook, but it’s still not clear, though, whether it will be a convertible tablet Mac or a pure full touchscreen device. Likewise, an $800 price tag has been mentioned as its possible price with an announcement scheduled for October.
Anyway, being that this is still just a rumor and all, we’re taking this with a grain of salt. Correct that; being that this is an Apple rumor, we’re taking this bit of news with a bucket load of salt. Apple isn’t exactly the type who’d ride on popular trends so we’re not exactly expecting to really come out with a netbook. How about you guys? What do you make of this new Apple netbook rumor?

Another Chinese paper, China Times says the netbook tablet will again change how we think of a product line with the introduction of a 9.7-inch screen. Foxconn, Wintek and Dynapack are said to be the manufacturers of the Apple tablet. [...]
