Samsung Omnia 2 hands-on video, FCC approved with AT&T/Rogers 3G included

Mobile Phone, Windows Mobile

The new Samsung Omnia 2 has just gotten FCC approval for possible retail in North American market. More importantly, its been approved with 850/1900MHz 3G bands which basically means it’ll most likely debut on AT&T in the US and Rogers in Canada. Apart from that, the Omnia 2 also features a speedy 800MHz processor, 3.7-inch 48×800 AMOLED resistive touchscreen display, 5-megapixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash and face/smile detection, D1 video recording at 15fps, WiFi, Bluetooth with A2DP support, GPS/A-GPS, DivX/XviD support, 3.5mm jack, microUSB port, 8/16GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB total via microSD card, and Windows Mobile 6.1 with TouchWiz 2.0 UI with 3D effects running the show.

Everything looks pretty good on paper, but if live action performance is what it takes to impress you, the relatively length walk-through video above will probably suffice to cast those doubts aside. No word though on when it will actually hit the market, but it should be happening soon.
