If you’re saving up for a new Asus or Acer netbook that could be launched during the holiday season this year, we’re sorry to report that things aren’t looking too bright for you guys out there.

Probably growing tired of playing around with the same technology over and over again, both Asus and Acer, the two big names in the netbook industry, have apparently decided to suspend their development of new netbooks until Q1 of 2010 when Intel is expected to release their new Atom N450 processor and next-generation Pine Trail platform. This is definitely big news for the netbook industry as the two leading companies who have definitely earned their share of huge profits thanks to their netbook offerings puts a halt on the development of new products.
Be that as it may, we don’t see consumers being affected by this latest development that much as we’re pretty sure other manufacturers will be more than willing to fill-up the void they’ll be leaving behind.
