To support the earlier report that Apple’s Mac tablet will be unveiled in September, an unnamed veteran analyst has admitted to actually handling the device already and assures that the unveiling will push through next month.

He further reveals that it will be priced within the $699-$799 price range, and will hit store shelves sometime in November. Another interesting point he disclose is that other manufacturers have already stopped work on their new netbooks until 2010 (probably referring to Asus and Acer) in order to see first what Apple has up their sleeves and plan their next move accordingly. The Mac tablet will apparently be launched as a gaming device and media player with a potential tie-in with the Apple TV.
Safe to say, we’re now even more confused if this will indeed be the Macbook Nano Touch we’ve been hearing so much about in the last couple of months or not. What do you guys think?
