Microsoft, WiFi Internet, Zune

The reviewer at CNET is ecstatic about the upcoming ZuneHD. He had just been given a pair of ZuneHDs to play with for an hour. Donald Bell has always been a fan of Zune ever since the first model came out. Though Bell admits it’s no iPod Touch competition, it nevertheless brings “one of the richest music experiences on a portable device.”

I agree. While the iTouch is all about seamless convergeance, the ZuneHD will focus more on multimedia, and, hopefully, media sharing.

User interface is a big thing on Zune HD. Despite having to settle for the 48- x 272 screen, HD support is not a myth in the Zune. That’s because of the Nvidia Tegra chip. The optional HDMI will allow you to make full use of the 720p support. User interface for your music files is lovingly worked on, which includes band information, photos and artist recommendation while your playing a track. A big thing for real music lovers. ZuneHD also has its own browser, which according to Bell “smokes.” It’s a new browser made by the same people responsible for IE.

There so many more features in the ZuneHD like the new Social and HD radio, but perhaps a few more hours or even days were needed to describe them fairly. For now, get on over to CNET to read more.
