A Samsung official made a very interesting disclosure: Samsung Android touchscreen phones will be well under the $100 mark come next year. This was the statement made by Casey Ryan, a product manager of Samsung, in a product launching event in the US. Unfortunately, he however failed to go into the specifics of the matter, but we’re definitely sure it won’t be the Samsung Galaxy i7500 since this particular Android phone is available in select markets already. A $99 price isn’t exactly “well under $100” so we’re expecting it to be cheaper which should make for a pretty enticing offer considering that most Android phones are still well above $100. Will other Android phone makers follow suit? We’ll probably soon find out come 2010.
