The French PMP manufacturer Archos has been having a binge of new releases lately, and they’re not stopping just yet. The Archos 2 Vision has been hinted upon recently and now it’s out in the flesh. It looks special at least, compared to the too-regular Archos 2. It’s a 2-inch player with a touch-sensitive slide control below the screen. It’s no new technology but it’s the first I’ve seen on a PMP or outside a laptop. It plays MP3 and WMA and transcoded AVI. The 8GB goes for 60 euros and the 16GB for 99 euros. Battery life lasts 10 hours on music and 4 hours on video.
