We’ve seen a performance chart pitting the iPhone 3G S against the Palm Pre before, and now, we’ve got this hands-on video comparing the two hot devices side-by-side.

There’s no clear winner between the two since it’s almost like comparing apples to oranges due to the major differences in the two exceptional devices. The Palm Pre has its QWERTY-keypad and multitasking support going its way, while the iPhone 3G S has its thinner profile, larger screen, App Store, and 32GB storage capacity on its side.

If speed was the only concern, as Anandtech points out early in an earlier post, the iPhone 3G S will definitely come out on top thanks to its consistent performance, but as you’ll see in this video, speed isn’t that much of a difference and there’s more to these two devices than that one trait alone.
