SanDisk has announced a slightly redesigned Sansa Clip which comes with slotMusic (microSD cards with pre-loaded albums) support. They are redubbing it the Sansa Clip+ and it will come in three colors and three capacities. The prices are considerably cheaper (which should put these right into our cheap MP3 player category) than similar devices: $39.99 (2GB), $49.99 (4GB) or $69.99 (8GB). Would that be enough to make people switch from online music purchases to slotMusic?

Looks uglier, sure they added MicroSD but who wants to select among 40 GB of songs on that display anyway? They already had the fuze for that.
Oh well, MicroSD is always an advantage anyway but this design is not.

The design is slightly better. And as far as I’m concerned, I do not use
my oversized Archos 605 much for music. And when I do, I always think the size
is a problem. This Clip+ just covers my needs. I want an MP3-player with great
sound quality, flash memory, with expansion. Just for music. Nothing more.
I think this one will be in my posession soon.
