I’ve been using a new Ainol V8000HDG for about one week and, in general, it works well.

    Issues I’m having:

    1. When connected via the HDMI cable to a Sony KDL-52XBR4 (LCD TV), the Sony TV displays “unsupported signal.” I’ve tried all combinations of plugging/unplugging/restarting TV and the Ainol, but nothing works. There is no display on the TV, just a black screen and the text message “unsupported signal.” That model of Sony TV supports these various HDMI signals: 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, and 1080/24p, and I would think the Ainol is sending out one of those choices. (Component and composite from the Ainol to the TV both work fine, if I select NTSC or 480i on the Ainol. Choosing 720p on the Ainol always gives a scrambled picture using component.) I tried the Sony web site for suggestions, and there were none. Any suggestions on how to get the HDMI connection working?

    2. The FM radio produces mostly static, but sometimes a very faint signal. At one point, I could get 10-20 stations very clearly, but only for a few minutes. Now, nothing I try (manual or automatic tuning) gets anything but static. (I live where there are a lot of good FM signals.) Any suggestions?

    3. PNG or BMP images larger than “medium” size do not display (I don’t know the exact dimensions that start to fail), and there is no “error message” displayed. Large JPEG images display fine. Any suggestions?
