This HDMI-, HD-, OTG-supporting PMP from ONDA gives one an unbelievable decent viewing rsolution of 800 × 480 on its 5.0-inch screen. The VX575HD is also no wash out with up to 170 degrees viewing. That’s pretty good, but what I like about this PMP and what I think will distinguish it from the rest is the BlackBerry-like jogwheel on the side. ONDA calls it Intelligent Shuttle Wheel for scrolling through your video or music playlists.
The HDMI should come in handy as the VX575HD supports up to 1360 × 768 pixels in RMVB format. It also fully supports H.264 encoded MKV HD. In China they’re selling this for 499 yuan ($77). That’s the 8GB version. Ownta has it on sale, too, for a higher price.

Hi,
I am interested to buy the ONDA VX575HD PMP, but I want to make sure that specifically the following functions have been tested by you in this device and work correctly:
HDMI output connected to a HDMI input in a NTSC TV, Does it work with good quality?
AV output connected to a AV input in a NTSC TV, Does it work with acceptable quality?
These connections use standard cables or require proprietary cables?
Thank you in advance,
Andrew

There seem no clear specs about the output to an external display.
There also seem to be a clear or straight forward mention of using an external HDD3
to view avi or other media video format on an external tv.
There is enough pitch about the built in 8gb and the display but will it play
from an external to my tv or does it require me to copy to the internal 8GB first?
All sellers seem to go on and on about the *huge* 8GB (pathetic) and re-pack the same promo info when you email them asking a question. So please enough of the cut&paste.
Like Andrew before me I want all my questions and his questions answered before
i part with my money.

Biggest shortcoming is you cannot fast forward or reverse while playing a video. No firmware upgrade to date to fix this problem. Pushing the FF button takes you to the next video. You need a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable to connect to an HD set, but I could not get mine working. Maybe signal too weak. The screen resolution is great and the size perfect, but I would look for another make.
