HTC has definitely been ramping up production on their Android phone offerings with the announcement of the HTC Tattoo, but that doesn’t mean their completely abandoning their Windows Mobile line-up. In fact, we’ve got something very big to look forward to in the near future in the form of the HTC Leo.
Aptly named after the king of the jungle, the HTC Leo can also be considered as the king of touchscreen phones with its massive 4.2-inch 800×480 WVGA display, and we’re lucky enough to get treated to this video demonstrating its multi-touch capabilities and video playback as well.

More after the break.

To give you a better idea of how big its display really is, here’s a side-by-side snapshot of it beside the Touch Pro2. Apart from that, it also comes with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR support, GPS, HSDPA connectivity, 3.5mm jack, 512MB ROM/320MB RAM, and runs on Windows Mobile 6.5. Not bad, eh?
Rumor has it that it will be launched in October though pricing is still yet to be known. However, given its mouth-watering specs, it’s safe to assume this will be more on the steep end of the pricing range.

This LEO is fantastic. The Tattoo and the Hero were good, but this one kicks their collective butts.
I want one so bad.

HTC has been very prolific. I have liked just about everything they’ve came up with. Wen I saw this phone, I almost crapped my pants. So beautiful and the specs are amazing.
