Announcements, Mobile Phone

palm-preAfter making an impressive debut in the US and proving that Palm isn’t out of the game just yet, the Palm Pre is now officially making its way to Europe via O2 UK. Brits and Irish who have been waiting for this webOS-powered slider van get their fill of Pre goodness beginning on October 16th. Germans, meanwhile, will get theirs earlier on October 13th. Price? How does £0 on a 24-month or 18-month contract of at least £44.05 ($71.45 USD) per month sound to you? Not bad, eh? Likewise, this also marks the first time a GSM Palm Pre will become available in the market. For those in the US/Canada, you’d be happy to know that this Palm Pre rocks HSDPA 850/1900/2100 MHz bands which work nicely with AT&T’s and Rogers‘ 3G network. Needless to say, if you’re on either carrier and can’t wait to get your hands on a Palm Pre, an October trip to Europe is in order.
