AT&T iPhone MMS

After a day of it finally becoming available on AT&T, it seems that iPhone MMS is still a dream for some iPhone users as reports are coming in of this service is still not available for some people. AT&T has confirmed this and goes on to reveal that there are MMS latency issues across all states, and get this, with no clear indication as to when this will all be addressed and fixed. Wow! Talk about building up everyone’s excitement and then failing to deliver. AT&T definitely messed this one up big time. So, let’s get your voices in guys - how’s AT&T’s iPhone MMS service figuring out for you so far?

Ugh… I spent all last night trying to figure it out. After getting error message
after error message I finally gave up and called AT&T only to be hung up on after a half hour and another 20 minutes of waiting on a transfer to an Apple rep and another call back to AT&T to
find out that the networks pretty much screwed and they don’t know when they can get
it fixed. I really, in all honesty, cannot say I’m the least bit surprised.

I get a text from att that mms is now available, so I follow instructions but to no avail.
Now after reading other comments, i find out Att droped the ball.
That is unacceptable and apple needs to step in afterall they got in bed with att!!!!

I agree…. this stinks! I’ve spent hours trying to get this POS to work, and nope. Still doesn’t work. Tried all the tricks that were suggested, none of them proved successful!

    No I’m really grumpy!

at&t will lose ALL iPhone users as soon as the leash is cut. mms does not work on my phone still and you’d think all the delays would have meant they were taking their time to get it right

Guys relax. I have six iPhones on my network.
Mms is already loaded on two phones and coming
on the other four as I update them. It seems to work
great in my initial tests. Give Att a bit of a break.
Obviously every iPhone user will start sending mms messages
to try it out. That would tax any network. Me, I’m satisfied.
Yes it took way too long to get. But it’s here now. Just be
    happy we are this close.

I set my MMS up yesterday and with in 5 min I was done. And it’s working fine. I live in Las Vegas not sure if that has something to do with the network. But all is good on my end.

    Good luck to everyone.

Well as of this morning, it’s still not available here in Delaware. No one I know has been able to upload it.

Works for me! ( Las Vegas )
    Video/picture & recieving/sending works fast, great quality.
I updated my iPhone 3G S to 3.1 on the 24th and at around 11am the 25th I got a text saying to connect to iTunes and downloaded the MMS update. So I did. Then restarted my phone. Worked perfectly. No problems. ♥

OUTSTANDING!!! It works here in Michigan as advertised. It’s quick and really cool how the multimedia is integrated right into the text conversations.

What a surprise, after two days of trying to get my MMS to work, it still shows up as an error. I live in the Erie area in Pennsylvania, and have had an iPhone since it’s debut(I have the 3G now) and have waited for MMS for too long! AT&T’s failure is unacceptable and needs to be delt with NOW! If it not for the iPhone I would have switched networks a very long time ago because of there service and broken promises.

I live in Delaware as well, no problems on my end though, I live in the Wilmington area, I have had working MMS on my 3gs and my girlfriend’s 3G since the launch date of 9/25. Sorry everyone is having so much trouble, good luck to everyone!

I am so sick of this crap. We spend so much money EVERY month and at&t plays this crap. I have never heard of spending so much money on a cell. They say it’s just like having a PDA but with a cell phone as well. I got this text saying MMS was good to go so I do it and this is the crap that happiens. I like the phone apple built but at&t sucks. Apple needs to say good bye to them and go to another more dependable cell company. We cant even get text messag. with photos or videos in it. But we can surf the net. I think something is very wrong with that. Thank god itunes has a program “Picfree” that lets us send photos to other cell phones. con to this software is when they send something back it goes to your email address. But that isn’t a problem, you can use the net to get that. But at&t dosen’t allow MMS. I will not sign back up with at&t, I will jailbreak this phone and add their sim chip and use it with another provider. Thanks Apple, AT&T you SUCK!!!!!!

Im tired of everyones whining already. People always have problems with something. If you want a more “dependable” company with the freedom to change sim cards then the only other option is T-Mobile and they are definately not better than AT&T. If you want Verizon then you wont be able to just swap sim cards whenever you want and you would most likely be unable to use your phone out of the country since most places use GSM. I was able to update and use MMS no problems whatsoever. Just relax and bit and stop f**king complaining. Im tired of it already. If you wanna unlock the phone your only other option is T-Mobile.

Downgrade to firmware 3.0.1 or lower, then Jailbreak either using Pwng tool or redsnow :) there is way more to it. If interested, look up videos about it in YouTube, oh and good luck!
