Good news T-Mobile G1 and myTouch 3G users, the Android 1.6 Donut update is now available. Well, it should be. T-Mobile has just begun rolling out this latest firmware to their subscribers which includes improvements in the Android Market experience, provides an integrated camera/camcorder/gallery interface, and updates the search feature to make it easier to find items both online and offline. Today’s T-Mobile’s first day in this arduous process so it might take a while before everyone gets blessed with some Android Donut goodness. Have you gotten yours already? How do you find Android 1.6 so far?

I’ve been enjoying 1.6 Donut on my Android Dev Phone 1 since Oct. 1st. My first impressions are that 1.6 is a little more responsive than 1.5 so far, and the search is much improved everywhere, from the desktop search being universal, to the other searches like YouTube getting search suggestions. New battery management showing what programs drain your battery the most is also quite helpful. Still, not quite as impressive as the 1.5 update, but really good for a minor update. Android 2.0 should be eben better, hope it runs on G1 also….
