Joining the ranks of the iPhone Dev team, Palm is now the latest thorn in the backside of Apple. Refusing to give up iTunes support on their Pre, Palm has once again re-enabled this feature in webOS firmware 1.2.1 for the Palm Pre. Apple disabled Palm Pre syncing when they released iTunes 9, but with this latest firmware release, it appears that the war between Apple and Palm is just heating up. It makes you wonder though why Palm doesn’t just come out with a desktop app of their own to rival iTunes. I’m pretty sure they’ve considered this before, but let’s face it, with iTunes popularity, piggy-backing on Apple’s software is probably the most cost-effective way to go for Palm at this point in time.
