Apple has just released iPhone firmware 3.1.2 which addresses issues concerning video streaming crashes, network service interruption, and inability to wake from sleep. Those of you who have been experiencing problems such as these on your iPhone will find this update most useful, but be forewarned jailbreaking aficionados, the iPhone Dev Team has already issued a strict warning. PwnageTool 3.1.3 and redsn0w are both still not compatible with iPhone OS 3.1.2. So if you dearly treasure your jailbroken and unlocked iPhone, it’s highly recommended you stay away from this update until further notice. However, if you’re already completely over jailbreaking and unlocking, then by all means, go ahead and hit the update button in iTunes and fire away.

Apple has just pushed out an update for all iPhone generations in the form of iPhone OS 3.1.2. Don’t expect any major feature updates in this 241MB download, but do expect a few fixes to some annoying problems, most notably: Resolves sporadic issue that may cause iPhone not to wake from sleep Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular services until restart Fixes bug that could cause occasional crash during video stream Now if only I could get an update that “Resolves issue where your stupid phone thinks headphones are plugged in all the time, even when they’re not, so you can finally answer calls without a headset plugged in” I’d be a very happy human being.
