Newman’s (Newsmy) 720p HD portable media player seems to be the most complete HD player out of China. It has a 4.3-inch screen and an 8.8mm form factor in luscious metal. Sure, it only boasts 720p, unlike the 1080p trend nowadays, but it makes up for the lower resolution support with a bigger 16GB capacity and a competitive $130 per unit listing at Ownta. The user interface seems interesting, too.
Newsmy A11HD PMP features:
- 4.3 inch 16 million color TFT display, resolution of 480 × 272
- 720P high-definition video player
- Support RM, RMVB, AVI, FLV format video player
- mp3 , wma , flac audio
- Support TV-out function
- 8.8mm thin
- 16GB

[...] Newsmy (or Newman, as it were) may not be a household name here in the States, but it’s good for pumping out new portable media players at a decent clip over in the Far East. Thankfully, there’s this amazing invention called the “internet,” which essentially enables folks all over the world to trade currency for product. For those interested in the ho hum player shown above — which features a 4.3-inch display (480 x 272), 720p TV output, an absurd list of supported file formats and 16GB of internal storage — it can be shipped your way for the intriguing price of $129.86.
