I think the main purpose of MIDs (multimedia internet device) is to outdo the iPhone. I have a strange feeling about this. They have bigger screen space, connectivity that often includes 3G, besides WiFi. Dell, the computer manufacturer, will soon add to their mobile hardware the Streak MID. This is a 5-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen device that runs Android 2.0. It has WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G. It’s very well equipped with, for starters, a 5 MP camera with dual-LED flash. It will also have conferencing features using the front-facing secondary camera. No pricing yet, and the Dell Streak will not come cheap, especially if they make that screen OLED instead of LCD.

Android 2.0 opened a new age for many Android based devices.
No matter that now they are pretty expensive, but I believe that soon we will see new devices with satisfaction price. Maybe 2 months - and they (Google team) will get huge of bug reports from people who using new smartphones and other devices based on Android 2.0 platform. It’s will give them opportunity to improve new SW and give to people better and stable version.
And, when we’ll see that Android based gadgets are equal with Apple iPhone 3G - that will be a fine day
