Motorola Droid at BGR: Really, DroidDoes

Boy Genius Report has a working unit of the Motorola Droid, and they say it’s “a bad ass mama jama.” One highlight mentioned is the support for HTML5. It will also have Flash 10 support by 2010.

Things that can be confirmed:

  • Android 2.0 (Eclair) operating system
  • CDMA 1X 800/1900 evdo
  • WiFi 802.11 b,g
  • aGPS, sGPS
  • adequate multimedia format support: H.264, MPEG-4, etc.
  • Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
  • 1400 mAh Li Ion
  • Touchscreen, haptics, light sensor, virtual keyboard

    the Droid’s strongest point is most likely the fact that it falls under the Verizon umbrella — it will be right out in front of millions of people as soon as it makes it’s way to the stores
