We all know that the Motorola Sholes or now better known as the Droid will be coming to the US by way of Verizon so it’s not surprising that it’s been spotted over at the FCC. However, what’s intriguing about this particular Android-powered Motorola handset is that it comes with North American 3G compatible with networks like AT&T and Rogers. Interesting, isn’t it? Don’t get your hopes up too high though as this is certainly no guarantee that it will get picked up by either carrier, but with all the positive things being said about the Motorola Droid (or shall we call it the Sholes again since the Droid name only applies to Verizon Android phones) it surely wouldn’t hurt AT&T if this were their first Android offering.

Why would they do this? If it also goes on at and t then Verizon technically has no competition with att.

My bets are still on the Verizon will be providing the best 3g coverage once this launches.
