If you guys, like us, were hoping that the upcoming HTC Desire aka Droid Eris will be as good as or even better than the Motorola Droid, well, we’ve got sad news for you. Word is that it will only run on a 528MHz Qualcomm processor and Android 1.5. It’s not exactly what we were hoping for, but on the bright side, we also hear that it will only retail for just $99. The Droid Eris will probably be marketed as a mid-level device. Its other specs are still unknown as of this posting, but given that November 6th is just a week away, we’ll probably get all the juicy details in the coming days. The HTC Droid Eris may not be as feature-packed as the Motorola Droid, but it will surely be a nice option for those working on a limited budget that are hoping to get on-board the Android bandwagon.
