The new touchscreen smartphone from Palm, even with all its charms (it’s the best mobile at CES 2009, says right there on the poster), aren’t selling in Canada. The Palm Pre is now only $99.95 Canadian from $149.95 a few weeks ago (CAD is only slightly lower than USD). Another price cut within weeks of the first doesn’t bode well for Palm Pre. I mean, what else do they have to do to sell phones? Maybe it’s not an awesome form factor or a neat new WebOS software but features like a built-in analog TV? Of course, a very significant price cut can do wonders, too. Meh, I’d wait for the $99 iPhone 3GS.
