Want a touchscreen device that does just about everything. We could recommend the iPod Touch or the iPhone, but what about the Mintpass Mintpad? A natural cousin to the old PDA devices, the Mintpad has a 2.83-inch OLED touchscreen and WiFi connectivity. It’s a useful device that serves as an electronic memo and multimedia player. In Korea it even has built-in DMB-TV. Our friends at Dapreview are quite excited about the Mintpad, and we are, too, though we have yet to have a good look at the user interface. AdvancedMP3 is the only online store offering it; they obviously think the world of the Mintpad (take a look at their mintpad page here). Amazon has it in stock for $169.99. And today we hear that the Mintpad has had a firmware upgrade that lets it support location-based services. They have Playmap running on a unit in the Youtube video below.
