Users and experts agree that Palm was successful in developing a very capable and competent mobile operating system with the release of the webOS platform that debuted on the Palm Pre. However, as good as it is, it’s definitely not perfect. One serious flaw that many will probably attest to is the fact that there’s a memory storage cap on apps, and this applies to both webOS-enabled device - the Palm Pre and Pixi. It’s quite ridiculous if you ask me. Android doesn’t have one and even more so the iPhone. However, this may soon change once webOS 1.3.5 hits the scene. This webOS firmware update is the solution every Palm Pre users out there has been waiting for which will finally lift the storage limit on apps. As to when this will be released, nobody knows for sure, but given that Palm webOS 1.3.1 is out and about already, it should be just around the corner.

[...] Palm webOS 1.3.5 for the Palm Pre has been out in the US since late last year which brings a number of enhancements including simultaneous downloads and the removal of app storage limits. However, those in Europe, particularly in Germany, have got more reason to smile over their newly released webOS 1.3.5.2 update as it also comes with Bluetooth tethering functionality apart from the ones mentioned earlier. The latest firmware available for the Palm Pre in the North American region is webOS 1.3.5.1 which comes with a bug fix that addresses an issue when syncing to an Exchange account that results in the deletion of calendar events. It’s still unclear whether or not Bluetooth tethering will become a staple feature in future iterations of the webOS platform, but for now, it’s a definite go in Germany thanks to webOS 1.3.5.2.
