Google Android, Mobile Phone

Samsung Galaxy i7500 coming to BellThe Samsung Galaxy i7500 isn’t by any stretch of the imagination one of the newer Android phones in the market today, but based on the latest tidbit available online, it could very well be the first Android phone for a particular carrier in Canada. The carrier we’re talking about is no other than Bell. Rogers hit the Android scene with the HTC Dream and Magic while Telus has the HTC Hero. Bell looks to be kicking off their Android campaign with the Samsung Galaxy i7500, and it’s apparently all scheduled to go down this week, on December 10th to be exact. For those who may have already forgotten what the Galaxy is all about, it’s Samsung’s first Android phone which comes with a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive AMOLED touchscreen, 5-megapixel AF camera with LED flash, WiFi, GPS, 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity, 8GB internal memory, and runs on a relative fast 528MHz processor. We’re not sure what version of Android it’ll come with, but we highly doubt the Samsung Galaxy will be loaded with Android 2.0 already.
