We won’t bore you with the politics of having a tech idea manufactured. The CrunchPad has just turned up to be officially named the Joojoo Web Slate. It’s just as Michael Arlington has announced for his CrunchPad. A 12.1-inch touch tablet that operates solely by touch navigation, though there’s a USB for a keyboard, mouse, etc. The 12.1-inch screen is a good 1366 x 768 pixels. Fusion Garage CEO Chandra Rathakrishnan wouldn’t reveal what processor the Joojoo Tablet is using, though it has a webcam, USB port and card slot. There’s a promise of fancy notifications on the homescreen (you know like when you’ve got Facebook updates). The Joojoo Web Slate is thinner than MacBook Air and seems to be very well-built. It’s priced $499, significantly more expensive than the proposed CrunchPad.
CNET has most everything you wish to know about the Joojoo Web Slate. But read on for the embedded video.
