Shortly after some images that were taken using the Google Nexus One phone (aka Google phone) appeared on the internet, we now have full body shots of this upcoming phone and a closer look at its new Android 2.1 OS.
The interface is enhanced with the addition of 3D elements to the app tray and it now comes with a grid icon that can draw up a preview of all the homescreen available. We can also see in one of the snapshots that it will also come bundled with Google’s new Goggles app, and another one confirms that both WiFi and Bluetooth are definitely on-board. The Nexus One has also just been approved by the FCC which supports the rumor that it will indeed be released in January. What’s interesting to note here though is that it comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSUPA (850/1700/1900MHz) connectivity making it compatible with both AT&T and T-Mobile 3G.
Will it debut on both US carriers? Maybe, maybe not, but definitely it’s on its way to the North American region.
